The other day I was just thinking to myself, OK actually this was a few months ago, but I was trying to find someone out there talking about the current New Orleans Bounce music scene. Well yesterday thanks to Catchdubs blog I found out not only about Dre Skull's new project which is a Bounce mix, but also about this cool blog which is all about the genre. So this morning I tried to dig up a couple of my old school bounce CD's but only could find one. And boy it is a classic, Pimp Daddy. For those of you who don't know, which is probably most of you, Pimp Daddy was like the first Cash Money Records artist ever. He passed on now, got into some scuffle about a chick. However his music lives on even if Cash Money sure has changed their musical direction in the past 20 or so years. Check it out if only to have a little more knowledge. If you're still in the dark about what New Orleans Bounce is just think "Back that Azz Up" completely impromptu as well as recorded in somebody's basement. Thats kinda the feel from it, at least these old school joints.
