Killer site I just came about this morning. WhoSampled.com. Community to share your sample findings. Some people to make stuff up, and others to tell them they just made that up. Anyway I had been bad mouthing this birdman joint earlier this week. Comes to find out it has a Deadmau5 sample. Pretty nutty. Either way, Birdman still can't spit a hot one on these uptempo jams. Not often we post a full length mix. This one right here is top notch. I was introduced to DJ Zimmie via Sneaker Freaker Mag. I pre-ordered issue 16 and received a DJ Zimmie Mix to sweeten the deal.

Banged the CD for a few days straight in the truck. Then came across this little devil he also recently dropped that I got the OK to share with the world.

Cash Money, a long time ago...

OK first spotted this write up this morning at nolabounce.com. The cool cats over at Amoeba wrote quite the piece on the history of Cash Money Records. Going way, way back to before I knew they even existed. And believe me I have some old stuff I managed to find in used CD shops. LIl Slim, Pimp Daddy, UNLV, some crazy shit was going on way back in the day. This write up tells the tale of one of the big labels that shaped the sound of rap music today. Check out the whole story of the indy years of Cash Money Records at Amoeba. Seriously if for no other reason than to look at their old ridiculous CD covers. And there are tons collected in the article.
